| Words can't begin
to describe how I feel about the loss of my best Friend
Dean Riddle, shortly after he went missing on Wednesday
morning, 6th August 1997 from his Marangaroo home in
Perth, Western Australia. Tragically, dean took his own
life, and was discovered in his four wheel drive deep in
bushland north of Yanchep, on Thursday 25th September
1997. The loss of Dean will effect my life forever, as I
had spent 20 years as his friend. Although I am deeply disturbed by the loss of Dean, my sorrow is insignificant compared to the pain that his widow Fiona, his brother Ed, his sister, and his mother Adeline, have had to endure. Dean's life had touched the hearts of more people than he ever knew, and will be deeply missed by everyone, including Fiona's family, his DOLA work colleagues, his friends from the Gym, his old school mates from Scarborough Senior high school, and everyone who used to go motorbike riding or Four wheel driving with him. All of our lives were made that much better by his presence. I have erected a cross at the
peaceful location where Dean chose to pass on. Should
anyone feel the need to visit this site, then I would be
happy to take them there. Dean's brother Ed has asked me to thank everyone who participated in the exhaustive searches by Four wheel drive that were carried out to try to find Dean. We will never know why Dean has left us. Dean, I will miss you forever. May you rest in peace. | |
